Tamar Braxton hospitalized after attempted suicide at LA residence

The Grammy-nominated singer was rushed to a nearby hospital after the incident.

Grammy-nominated singer Tamar Braxton was hospitalized Thursday evening after police responded to reports of a possible overdose and suicide attempt at a downtown Los Angeles residence, our sister station KABC reported.

The officers were called at about 9:45 pm. a spokesman for the Ritz Carlton Residences in area 900 on Olympic Boulevard, where the woman was found unresponsive and unconscious, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department said. She was taken to the California Hospital Medical Center, which is about a mile from the skyscraper, and was registered in a stable condition.

A source later confirmed to KABC that Braxton was the woman hospitalized.

No other details were immediately revealed.

One of Braxton’s four sisters is singer Toni Braxton. Tamar Braxton is a graduate of the ABC reality show Dancing With the Stars and the Braxton Family Values ​​reality show.

In November 2015, Tamar Braxton announced that she was dropping out of the Dancing with the Stars this season because she had a blood clot in both lungs.
