Princess Beatrice married estate tycoon Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in a private ceremony in Windsor.
The wedding took place on Friday morning at the Royal Chapel of All Saints in the Royal Lodge. It was attended by the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh, as well as other close relatives.
Beatrice was originally supposed to get married in May, but the coronavirus has delayed plans.
A new date was not announced in advance and Buckingham Palace said the ceremony was “small.”
The wedding took place at 11:00 BST in accordance with all relevant government directives, the palace said in a statement.
When the coronavirus lockdown began on March 23rd, weddings in England were banned under almost all circumstances. However, since July 4, up to 30 people have been allowed to hold ceremonies.
The Queen, 94, and Philip, 99, have been quarantined in Windsor since March, and the ceremony is believed to be the first time the couple attend a family gathering since the lock began.
Later on Friday, she was portrayed as Knight Captain Sir Tom Moore, a 100-year-old who raised more than £32 million for an NHS charity – her first official love affair since being locked out.
After investing, the Queen told the veteran fundraiser, “My granddaughter got married this morning. Philip and I managed to get there – very nice. ”
The 31-year-old princess and 35-year-old Mr. Mapelli Mozzi originally planned to marry on May 29 at the Royal Chapel at St James’s Palace in London.
The new Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park, just a short drive from Windsor Castle, is the home of Beatrice’s childhood. Her parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York, still live in the house and also attended the ceremony.
It was held in the chapel, which the Queen regularly used as a place of worship when she was in Windsor.
Mr. Mapelli Mozzi – known as Edo – and Beatrice began dating in the fall of 2018. They got engaged on a weekend trip to Italy last September.
Their families have known each other for many years. The couple is said to have started a relationship after meeting Beatrice’s sister, Princess Eugenie, with Jack Brooksbank at the wedding.
The wedding at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle in October 2018 was attended by 850 guests, and 1200 people, chosen by voting, followed the court hearings on site.
Beatrice, who is the ninth-highest on the throne, does not work full-time, but works for Afiniti, an artificial intelligence software firm, where she is vice president of partnerships and strategy.
Mr. Mapelli Mozzi is the son of former Olympic skier Count Alessandro Mapelli Mozzi and Nikki Williams-Ellis and himself the Count.
The princess became a stepmother since he has a young son named Wolf and ex-fiancée Dara Juan.[1-click-image-ranker]
